About me…
I love that topic. Its on every social network and blog site I encounter. Sum up your entire person in 200 words or less. Sure! Who am I? That’s the million dollar question.
Basically, I don’t know who I am. I don’t fit into any nice, neat mold. I am a study in contradictions.
I am 30-something, but I sometimes feel 18 and other times feel 50. I am a woman. I am a semi-liberal democrat, with conventional, almost anti-feminist views. I am a mother of three who thinks spanking sometimes works better than time-out and enjoy bikini shopping and hip-hop dancing with my teenager. I live for education and self-improvement and the individual right to be anything you want to be, yet I also savor being a stay-at-home mom and wife. I’ve felt pride in holding a diploma, a newborn, a paycheck, and my husband’s hand. I have watched a seed I planted grow into a lush, delicious tomato. I have watched a child suckle from my breast and grow into a thriving toddler. I have a close relationship with Jesus, yet consider myself to be a rational, liberal, scientific minded sinner. My MP3 player sings Taylor Swift, Lil’ Wayne, John Mayer, Metallica, and Micheal W. Smith – often all at the same time. I was born and reared in the South and have been known to say “ain’t” yet I cringe when I hear someone else use hanging participles. I love diamonds and Prada, yet I am just as comfortable in hiking boots and a sports bra. I have found God’s presence in art museums, mountain tops, ballets, hidden creeks, ancient pyramids, running tracks, skyscrapers, and a baby’s cry.
That is a little about me. I am still learning the rest……

By the way, the photo above was taken in Israel near the Dead Sea area during a beautiful sunset in December of 2008.
